We are hearing good things about V9, but each retailer needs to evaluate it to see how it would improve that business's bottom line. V9 has some great reporting tools, and some improvements in polling. It's also on a much beefier database, which means that most retailers will need to upgrade their hardware.
With any software, there is always a need to evaluate how it will affect the business in two ways: 1. Will the software streamline or improve my operations? Will it enable me to process orders faster, require less staff, etc. 2. Will the reporting tell me something I don't know today, that I can use to become more profitable?
You need to make sure that the answers to those questions are yes. If they are, then evaluate further.
Island Pacific is no longer a player in Retail Pro. As to how they are doing financially, I'd look at the reports online. |
